The Four Houses of Hogwarts
Gryffindor: The founder of the house was Gordic Gryffindor. The Gryffindors are known for their bravery and daring just like their house mascot, the Lion. The house colors are Scarlet and Gold. The house ghost is Nearly Headless Nick.
Slytherin: The founder of the house was Salazar Slytherin. The house mascot is the Serpent-it was choosen becuase Salazar could speak Parseltounge-and like the Serpent, the Syltherins are cunning. The house colors are Silver and Green. The Bloody Baron patrols the halls of the Slytherin house.
Hufflepuff: The founder of the house was Helga Hufflepuff. The house is represented by a Badgar like whom all Hufflepuffs display loyalty. The house color is Canary-yellow. Friar is the house ghost for Hufflepuffs.
Ravenclaw: The founder of the house was Rowena Ravenclaw. The house is represented by a Raven-they are ready minded and always willing to lend a helping hand. The house color is Blue. The Ravenclaws have a motherly ghost-the Grey Lady. |
